Worker Safety is Our Top Priority
Each member of the Spirit Fabs family takes safety seriously, from leadership and our safety team through individual workers in our production areas. We work together to minimize the hazards associated with industrial construction work and encourage a safety mindset away from work as well.
We believe that providing clear, consistent direction and responsible leadership creates an atmosphere in which employees can focus on the task at hand with a heightened safety awareness. Spirit Fabs is proud to be a 2024 Acuity Insurance Safety Award recipient. This award is given to businesses that are exemplary in their partnership with Acuity Insurance to help ensure a safe workplace.
Our commitment to creating a culture of safety
- Develop a culture by which all employees are empowered to work safely, create safe work environments, and be aware of others’ unsafe behaviors.
- Recognize the differences between “leading indicators” and “lagging indicators.”
- Establish a comprehensive accident prevention program.
- Discuss the importance of identification; control and/or eliminate any construction-related hazard encountered during the course of implementing activities.
- Active participation in Safety Task Assignments (STAs) meetings; crafts, foreman and management.
- Behavioral analysis program implemented by peers.
- Training oversight conducted by a competent individual.
- Incorporate site-specific criteria into the company safety program.
- Reporting: Business operating strategy (BOS); first aid; near miss; customer observations.
- Monthly or quarterly reporting: Report card of evaluated criteria.
- Recognize the intrinsic value of each individual’s quality of life – on and off the job.
